Young Lawyer Legacy
Each One Reach One Campaign
2010-2011
The Foundation, with the guidance of the YLD leadership, has
created a special giving category called the “Young Lawyer Legacy.”
For $300 (just $25 a month), you can become a part of this
distinguished group of young lawyers who are committed to supporting
the profession.
We want to get 50 members of the Young
Lawyers Division to renew or donate for the first time to the Young
Lawyer Legacy AND for each donor to secure the participation of a
colleague.
A gift of $300 qualifies you for the Young Lawyer Legacy.
“I don’t have $300!” you say.
But
WAIT!
The gift can be paid in increments or in one payment.
$25 a month? $75 a quarter? Three $100
payments?
That's doable, right?
Sign yourself up! Participants should be in the YLD of the
SC Bar. Gifts must be paid in full 12 months after commitment.
“But
why should the YLD care about the South Carolina Bar Foundation?”
you ask.
The SC Bar
Foundation is the charitable arm of the Bar.
Through our grantees, we advance justice by improving access,
education and accountability. The Foundation’s mission is in line
with the goals and ideals of many young lawyers.
PLUS —
25% of all campaign proceeds will be equally divided among
Children’s Chance, Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands, Special
Olympics and The Cooperative Ministry.
Many young lawyer interests are served through
grantees of the SC Bar Foundation. Please join us.

Hear what campaign participants have to say --

"I support the SC Bar Foundation because it is the core of what our
profession is about – service. Anything that I can do to help make a
difference for others with legal problems is my honor."
Tiffany Spann-Wilder

“I like knowing my YLL pledge supports
both the public service mission of the YLD and the charitable goals
of the SC Bar Foundation.”
C. Tyson Nettles

“The Bar Foundation attacks the root
causes of our state’s problems in ways few other organizations can.
Its influence reaches juvenile justice, domestic abuse, homeless
issues and many other areas. It makes every dollar go very far, and
that’s why I support the Foundation.”
Chris Koon

"As young members of the SC Bar what
better way can we give back to the community than contributing to
our own Foundation, while at the same time benefiting the programs
we all hold dear through the YLD? It is my privilege to be a part of
the YLL."
Amy Landers May

"I am pleased to support the public service work of the South
Carolina Bar and its Young Lawyers Division by participating in
the Each One, Reach One campaign. Contributions through this
program supplement the hard work of South Carolina lawyers who
give much of their time and energy to a wide variety of worthy
causes across the state." William R. Johnson
